Ricardo Quaresma will not be joining Kedah FA

Kedah Football Association (KFA) president Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah has denied the rumours that the club is interested in signing ex-Porto winger Ricardo Quaresma.

“I would like to inform to all of you that it is just a rumour. We have never discussed signing him as well as paying RM1.9 million for him,” Ahmad Bashah said as quoted by Utusan.

“However, we will be monitoring Carlos Kahe’s position at the club after failing to impress in the previous games. We signed him to improve our performance, but we have to decide.

“We will make a change if his performance continues to ensure proper football at Kedah.”

The president is still hurting from the loss to Johor Darul Ta’azim (JDT) in the semi-final second leg match at the Larkin Stadium on Saturday, but his team have not lost their spirit.

“We’re still the only team to beat The Southern Tigers this season and that is something my team and my players can be proud of,” Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah concluded today.
