Tyre issues continue to haunt Moto2 racer Hafizh Syahrin

National Moto2 racer, Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah was once again plagued by faulty tires as he failed to complete the race in round 8 of the Dutch TT Grand Prix in Assen yesterday.

The PETRONAS Raceline Malaysia racer began the race from the 20th spot and he struggled with the grip of his tyres from the start, forcing him to retire after round 14.

“It was almost impossible to race today (yesterday). There was absolutely no grip on my back tyre.”

“I took the decision to retire from the race as I was struggling in my final round.”

“We tried our best throughout the week to get the best adjustment, but we are disappointed with the results in the qualifiers and the actual race itself,” said Hafizh, as quoted by Harian Metro.
