Irfan Bakti vows to stop JDT and win MSL title

Pahang-based FELDA United have vowed not to stop their run of fine form in the Malaysia Super League (MSL) when they take on Selangor at the Shah Alam Stadium tomorrow.

The Fighters showed signs of fatigue during the narrow 2-1 win over Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) at the Hang Jebat Stadium on Saturday, but head coach Irfan Bakti believes that his squad is capable of upsetting Selangor to step up their pursuit of Johor Darul Ta’azim (JDT).

“Despite facing a tight schedule, which forces us to play a game every three days, we have to go against all odds and win the league,” Irfan Bakti said as quoted by Berita Harian.

“Our main goal is to chase the league leaders but for now, we have to focus on Selangor.”

FELDA United secured all three points in Malacca after Lutfulla Turaev and Francis Forkey Doe scored a goal each, whereas PDRM’s goal of the game came from Konate Souleymane.

The second-placed team have 34 points from 14 games and are two points behind JDT.
