Transfer Rumours: Melaka United to seal Nazrin Nawi signing?

Melaka United have reportedly agreed a deal to secure the signature of Nazrin Nawi from recently-crowned MSL champions, Johor DT.

The Sang Kancils are currently preparing for life in the Malaysia Super League next year, and the acquisition of Nazrin is reportedly seen as the perfect way to bolster their squad, having triumphed in the Premier League this year.

According to speculations, Nazrin is equally keen on making the move, considering the limited playing time he’s been afforded with at Johor DT.

With Azniee Taib ahead of him in the pecking order, Nazrin was forced to warm the bench on most occassions this year, and was even kept out of several match day squads as well.

While there hasn’t been official confirmation from either party, Nazrin himself dropped a hint on social media last week. He uploaded a photo of himself with Izham Tarmizi and Amirulhadi Zainal and captioned it with ‘tinggal kenangan‘ which loosely translates to ‘only memories remain’.

Meanwhile, Melaka are also being linked with two other JDT II players – Paulo Rangel and Al-Hafiz Hamzah. Rangel, who has confirmed his departure from the Southern Tigers, is being earmarked as the perfect candidate to contribute goals, while Al-Hafiz’s experience is reportedly highly-rated by the Melaka United management.
