Zlatan reveals the person who inspired his pompous personality

Hint: It’s not a football player.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic leaving Barcelona was probably the best decision he ever made. After a brief stint in AC Milan, he reigned in Paris Saint Germain (PSG) for four seasons, where he averaged one goal every 67 minutes. To be more precise, he scored 113 league goals in 122 appearances.

Since he joined Manchester United, he has scored 9 goals in 15 appearances.

He has always made headlines for his witty and sarcastic replies, comments, and a somewhat cocky attitude. Recently, in an interview with ESPN, Zlatan revealed the inspiration behind his persona.

It is none other than boxing legend, Muhammad Ali.

“I like Muhammad Ali.” the 35 year old said. “The way he was, the way he performed, the way he was talking, the way he responded to the critics, to whoever talked. That was my inspiration. Because I said like, that’s exactly how it should be. And that’s who I want to be.”

Lesson learned, Zlatan. Copy the best, and you will too, be the best!
