I can sue TMJ but I won’t – Tan Sri Annuar Musa

Of all the ways that we expected Tan Sri Annuar Musa to react to the allegations pelted against him; he has chosen to be indifferent and to leave it to God.

The former Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) president confessed that he will not take any legal action against the Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Ibrahim (TMJ) for the accusations the latter made on Facebook.

On January 12, TMJ posted a status about a certain “Tan Sri” who misused MARA and UniKL funds to sponsor a declining Kelantan. The “Tan Sri” is believed to be Tan Sri Annuar Musa, who is a Pro-Chancellor at UniKL and Chairman of MARA.

However, Tan Sri Annuar Musa rubbished those claims, saying he never touched any money that was meant for scholarships. The funds he used came from advertising allocations.

“If I want to file a defamation suit, definitely there will be a lot of people I can summon. I can take a defamation suit but again I don’t want too. God knows I didn’t commit the allegations,” he said at a press conference.

“I will never ever take legal action. Yes, it affects my reputation but let me suffer for the sake of the team.”

Apart from that, Tan Sri Annuar Musa also revealed that he is tired of the politics in football. He wants to “run away from football” because there is just “too much hatred and accusations” towards him.

“I cried while reading the fans’ postings on Facebook; they really love the team so much. So here I am, helping the team with all my strength and what I can,” he said.

Well, thank you, Tan Sri!
