Jorge Lorenzo loyal to Yamaha, hopes to stay until his career ends

In a lengthy interview for an Italian Sky Sport MotoGP show, the Yamaha MotoGP rider once again reaffirmed his loyalty to Yamaha, where he hopes to remain for the rest of his career.

Lorenzo admits that its normal for any rider to have the curiosity to try other bikes, especially if its faster or more competitive, but stressed on the importance of being grateful towards the people who had confidence in you. He adds, that even in difficult times, you have to repay that faith.

He went on to explain that even though he had the chance to change bikes in 2009 and 2012, he still decided to stay out of loyalty to Yamaha. In addition to that, he says that being comfortable with the team and trusting them fully played a strong role in his decision.

When probed about his relationship with team-mate, Valentino Rossi, he said that the two of them made a great team, as their combined experience allows them to give feedback to Yamaha to constantly improve.

On the subject of his rivals on track, which also includes Rossi, along with former World Champion Casey Stoner and his compatriots Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez- he admits that all four of them are very strong, but pointed out that Marquez and Rossi were the most difficult to overcome as they never accept defeat and always try to win every race, even if they are not well-positioned or aren’t a fan of the track.
