Kedah in high spirits ahead of cruncher against Pahang

Kedah head coach Tan Cheng Hoe claims that his men are extremely motivated to do well ahead of their first leg of their Malaysia Cup semi final tie against Pahang.

Despite having a topsy turvy season in the Malaysian Premier League, the Canaries have been impressive in the Malaysia Cup thus far, and Tan think that the squad morale is at an all time high.

“I don’t need to put in so much of effort to motivate these players as they are high on confidence for this game, following the victory over Kelantan in the quarters,” Tan said.

“I just want to ensure that my men stay focused for the entirety of the 90 minutes, and don’t commit any mistakes that could come back to haunt us.

“The players needed around 10 months to get used to my style of play, which is precisely why we endured a roller-coaster season in the Premier League.”

The first leg will take place at the Darulaman Stadium on Sunday night, with kick off slated for 8.45pm
