Top Malaysian athlete involved in doping scandal

Malaysia could be in for a shocking news in the next 24 hours, with a top Malaysian athlete facing potential suspension after being tested positive for a banned substance.

The test was conducted during a major competition that happened this year, and the results unexpectedly turned out to be positive for either banned substances or masking agents.

Reports are also suggesting that the individual is a renowned badminton player, though no official statement has been released on the identity of this particular athlete.

However as of now, results for the ‘B’ test has not been processed yet. If it does turn out to be positive, this particular athlete could be facing a two-year suspension from the sport.

This is the second major doping scandal to hit the sporting scene of the country, after Tai Cheau Xuen’s gold medal in Wushu was revoked during the Incheon Asian Games, after she failed a doping test.
