“Thailand will survive the Tiger’s den,” – Zico backs team to beat Malaysia

Thailand head coach Kiatisuk Senamuang believes that his men have all the traits needed to maintain their composure and get the job done when they take on Malaysia at the Bukit Jalil Stadium tonight.

Despite securing a massive 2-0 win over Malaysia in the first leg, Kiatisuk, or fondly known as the South-East Asian Zico, knows that the Malayan Tigers will be backed by a boisterous home support; which could potentially play a massive part in determining the outcome of the game.

That being said, he has absolute confidence in his team’s ability to soak in the pressure and do well on pitch when the match kicks off.

“Malaysia will definitely be stronger with the home support they will have,” Zico told Sinar Harian.

“But we will survive this. We’ve been through such situations during the SEA Games as well as the Asian Games, where opposition fans have always been intimidating.

“I believe my players can deal with it, and perform admirably on the field, to get the job done. Playing Malaysia will not be an easy task, so I expect a tensed game, either way,” he added.

The Bukit Jalil Stadium is expected to house approximately 90,000 fans on Saturday night, with kick off slated for 8 p.m.
