2015 Diving World Series: Malaysian duo bag silver medal

National divers Leong Mun Yee and Cheong Jun Hoong secured a silver medal in the 10 meter platform synchro event, at the first leg of the 2015 Diving World Series.

The Malaysian duo managed finished second with 320.28 points, behind China’s Chen Ruolin and Liu Huixia, who had 345.36 points. At the same time, Canada’s Meaghan Benfeito and Roseline Filion finished third after collecting 310.86 points.

Meanwhile, 2012 Olympic bronze medallist Pandelela Rinong’s hopes of securing a medal in the individual 10m platform, did not come through as she finished last among the six finalists after only collecting 344.35 points.

Fortunately for Pandelela, she will have a chance to turn things around at the second-leg of the series in Dubai, alongside Mun Yee and Jun Hoong.
