Felda United 1-4 Perak: Karathu’s troops crush Settlers’ unbeaten record

Perak FA officially ended Felda United’s unbeaten start to the season by thumping them 4-1 in what was a rather one-sided match at the Selayang Stadium earlier today.

The Seladangs visibly went into the game as underdogs, considering Felda’s blistering start to the season, but Datuk M. Karathu’s men got off to a fantastic start as Chad Souza handed them the lead on the 5th minute mark.

Despite Felda’s best efforts, Perak were tactically disciplined enough to drag the game into half time, with the score being 1-0. After the break, the home side got their coveted goal as Edward Wilson fired home on the 47th minute to restore parity and make it 1-1.

Perak though, never backed down at all, and their positive attitude towards the game was rewarded merely three minutes later, as Chad Souza found the back of the net to put them ahead for the second time in the game.

Both sides kept going at each other, though Karathu’s men were far more superior with regards to the midfield battle, allowing their forwards to threaten on several occasions. Predictably enough, Namkung Woong, who has been nothing short of stellar for them this year, scored their third goal of the night with 10 minutes left on the clock to make it 3-1.

There was still a time for cherry on the icing though, as Chad Souza scored a later fourth goal, to not only seal a hat-rick for himself, but also a memorable victory that places them second on the table, besides reaffirming themselves as a force to be reckoned with.
