VIDEO: Anger got the best of Youzhny in French Open

The French Open saw some rather bizarre incidents so far, but what could be even worse than Roger Federer conveying his anger to the Roland Garros tournament director board after a fan intruded the court to take a selfie with him? Perhaps the answer would be: a scene of self harm by hitting one’s own head repeatedly – and strongly – with a tennis racket.

Mikhail Youzhny could use some anger management when he was seen letting out his frustrations in a rather painful manner as he was not at all satisfied with his game play yesterday.

The Russian faced Damir Dzumhur in his opening match and tied 2-2 in the first set on triple break point. Apparently, Youzhny was not happy over that at all and punished himself by hitting his own head with the racket.

Youzhny continued to play and dominated the first two sets 6-2 and 6-1. The ringing headache took over him and he was forced to retire before starting a third set.

Surprisingly, this was not the first time Youzhny had lost his cool and hit himself with his racket. He did the same thing few years ago and ended up with a bleeding head.

Here’s a video of him in yesterday’s French Open:

All in all, hitting your head with a tennis racket might not be the best solution to clear off your disappointment.
