SEA Games: Malaysian netballers defeat Brunei 82-24

The national netball squad has no fears of losing as they have secured their third win out of four games so far after defeating Brunei 82-24 yesterday during the Singapore SEA Games, instantly providing them an entry to the semi finals.

Malaysia started off fiercely when they recorded 21-3 in the first quarter. Izyan Syazana Mohd. Wazir and Norashikin Kamalzaman performed as a great duo to aid the nation bag 38-9 just before half time.

According to coach, Aminah Asaari, the team played excellently and displayed flawless skill sets. She was delighted over the pattern of the game and the way the players maintained their agility and performance.

“I let Norashikin played full time in all four quarters because she only played in two quarters when we played against Singapore,” said Aminah as quoted from Kosmo.

“We’re confident that we can defeat Thailand in the final match because the previous records are mostly siding us.”

“However, the main focus for us in the match is to get as many points as we can to ensure we are not affected at first place.”

The national squad has amassed a total of 313 points overall throughout four games.
