T-Team’s foreign player David Oniya suffered a tragic death earlier today after suffering a cardiac arrest during their friendly match against Kelantan.
The Nigerian footballer appeared fine during the pre-match warm-up and was even present in the middle of the park with Kelantan’s skipper and the match officials just moments prior to kick off. However, he collapsed on the field just three minutes into the came, sending shockwaves across the stadium.
An ambulance was brought onto the pitch, to rush Oniya to the hospital, though it has now been confirmed that he passed away due to cardiac arrest.
