Manchester United’s goalkeeper David De Gea has told reporters that he is heading back to Manchester to begin pre-season training with his United teammates and that he is “very calm” about his future.

“I have to return to Manchester for pre-season.” He told reporters from the TV station Cuatro, revealing little about the speculation surrounding his future.

Although De Gea might be heading back to Manchester, it is still likely that he will likely play his trade in Madrid as he has already placed his Cheshire house for sale and has reportedly refused Manchester United’s staggering £250,000 a week contract offer.
