YB Dato’ Haji Ismail Bin Karim has been officially appointed as the new President of Johor Football Association (PBNJ), just now.

The former state secretary will be taking over from Tunku Mahkota of Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, who shocked everyone with his sudden decision to step down.

An official statement by the new president was posted on the team’s official Facebook page, Johor Southern Tigers.

“I, YB Dato’ Haji Ismail Bin Karim, has been given the honour and responsibility to be the new President of the Johor Football Association starting from today. With the trust and mandate entrusted to me, I promise I will continue the planning and JFA policies as revolutionised by HRH Brigadier General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, the Crown Prince of Johor, for the sake of Johor football development. I also promise that I will fully carry out my responsibility and serve the people of Johor and the fans of Johor Darul Ta’zim.”
