Holidays are over, let’s get serious! – Karathu to Perak players

It seems that all the talk has been about Liverpool arrival in Malaysia lately, that people forgot about the Malaysian Super League.

After being allowed time out for 6 days in collaboration with Hari Raya, the players will now have to return to training for the next 10 days and Karathu is hopeful that his players can be in tip-top condition as well as understanding the gravity of their situation because they will finish the remaining 7 games of the season in the space of 22 days.

“The players will need to be at their peak to overcome this hectic schedule, they will need to be on their toes as they will need to have both high fitness levels and need to be mentally strong.” Karathu said, as quoted by Harian Metro.

“The next 10 days will be pivotal because it will determine our direction of our team as we head onto the field after that.” He continued.

“We have to win our remaining matches in order to be crowned as champions. It is a heavy task, but nothing is impossible in football.”

Perak will first face Kelantan in their first match followed swiftly by PDRM just four days afterwards. They will also face the likes of Johore Darul Ta’zimSelangor and FELDA United in a tough string of matches.

Karathu has cautioned his team for complacency and emphasized on having a good start, namely in the first two matches.

“The first two matches are vital. Kelantan are on the rise after some internal troubles while PDRM are no pushovers as well. They recently lost to Kelantan and will want to bounce back from the defeat.”
