Kelantan FA to keep faith with Zahasmi Ismail

Kelantan FA have reiterated their desire to keep hold of Zahasmi Ismail as their head coach, at least till the end of this year.

Zahasmi was appointed as an interim head coach, after the departure of Azraai Khor Abdullah last month, but the Red Warriors seem to have rediscovered their touch, under his guidance.

And with the Malaysia Cup edging closer, Kelantan FA’s Tan Sri Annuar Musa sees no reason to make any alterations, judging by the team’s performances in recent week, including their 4-1 win over JDT last weekend.

“Since he took over, the improvements are pretty obvious, in each game,” he told Utusan Malaysia.

“If this continues, it’s not impossible for him to give him a chance, even if we’ve worked with big names like B. Sathianathan, Bojan Hodak and Peter Butler before.

Under Zahasmi’s tutelage, Kelantan have won a total of four games, losing three times and drawing two games. More importantly, they’ve netted a total of 19 goals.
