VIDEO: Molly Huddle celebrates prematurely, loses 10,000m bronze

Molly Huddle will never forget her 10,000m race at the World Championships in Beijing, after a premature celebration stopped her from winning the bronze medal.

The US long-distance runner was solid throughout the race, and was on the verge of sealing a bronze medal, before her decision to slow down and start celebration just before the finish line, allowed Emily Infield to swoop in and seal third spot.

“I became too comfortable in my last few steps. Emily was behind me all along, and she had a good momentum,” she said after the race.

“It’s going to take a while before I forget this incident,” she added.

Well Molly, we don’t think you’ll ever be able to forget it!
