Malaysia’s Under-19 squad have progressed to the semi-finals of the Asian Football Federation (AFF) Under-19 Youth Championships after Myanmar’s defeat to Vietnam yesterday.
The defeat means that Malaysia and Myanmar both have seven points from four games, though Malaysia has now qualified for the semis on a better goal difference.
Vietnam also progressed as group winners, with Tran Duy Khanh and Ha Duc Chinh scoring en route to their 2-0 win last night.
Malaysia journey will only get tougher though, as they are set to face Group A winners Thailand in the semis, with Vietnam taking on Laos.
