Kelantan FA in financial limbo?

Kelantan FA’s financial situation is being scrutinized now, with rumours suggesting that they’ve not paid their players for almost two months.

The Gate H Boys, widely known as the Ultras of Kelantan FA, have revealed that the management of Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) have failed to fulfil their salary payment obligation for August and July.

KAFA’s failure doesn’t only apply to the first-team players, but also the President Cup squad as well as the Youth Cup squad.

The rumour has also been confirmed to a certain extent, with the Ultras claiming that Tan Sri Annuar Musa himself admitted it during a conversation with one of their representatives.

He explained that the team has invested RM11 million into the team this season, but they’ve been unable to recoup the money due to dwindling stadium attendances.

Despite reaching the FA Cup final, the Red Warriors were rather shambolic in the Malaysia Super League this season, finishing 9th on the table, three spots lower than their final position last year.
