Gustavo Lopez: Increase my salary and I’ll stay

Terengganu midfielder Gustavo Lopez wants to stay with them next season despite his salary demands and rumours linking of him moving elsewhere.

The Argentine said that he is happy with the team atmosphere and pleased with the management.

However, he is still waiting for a response from the Terengganu Football Association (PBSNT) as to whether they are willing to match his salary demands and offer him a new deal.

“I still love Terengganu; if it is possible, I would love to stay here with the team,” he told Harian Metro.

“I am still interested to play for Terengganu next season. But for now I leave it to the management to sort it out, because I have to think the best for me and my family,” he said.

He said that he is currently negotiating with two other teams for the new season though no agreements have been made yet.

“I don’t want to rush the decision since I am still waiting for the answer from PBSNT and I hope it is a positive one because I still want to be with them next year,” he told Harian Metro.

Gustavo Lopez has been in excellent form this season, recording 11 assists in 20 appearances as he helped Terengganu finish fourth in Malaysia Super League.
