Zulfadli Zulkifli to finalize BAM decision by Sunday

There has not been any final word from shuttler Zulfadli Zulkiffli, regarding his future with Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM), even after discussions with Director General of National Sports Council (NSC) Datuk Ahmad Shapawi Ismail yesterday.

According to Zulfadli, he would like to discuss it with his family especially with father Zulkiffli Sidek before informing Ahmad Shapawi about his final outcome.

“Of course I need to talk to my family first, regardless of what needed to be done.”

“Nonetheless, I would still like to thank our Youth and Sports Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin and Datuk (Ahmad Shapawi) for their concern on me.”

“Whatever that has to said, will be said officially this coming Sunday,” said the former junior champion, as quoted by Arena Metro.

Father Zulkiffli also added: “Discussions have been made and we have been given time till Sunday. That’s as far as I’m able to say. If there are more questions, feel free to ask Datuk (Ahmad Shapawi).”

After the Jakarta World Championships, Zulfadli has been labelled as the replacement of Lee Chong Wei by Khairy, but as long as he joins BAM.

Even Chong Wei himself agreed with Khairy, stating that Zulfadli has immense talent but will not progress if he continues by his own.
