LTAM president Tan Sri Abdul Razak Latiff said the entry has proved there is an improvement among Malaysian players since the Malaysian Open was introduced seven years ago.

“We are truly excited for our players to be joining the tournament through the wild card rounds. The experience that they will gain against ATP world class players will be valuable, in producing our own talented players who can join the ATP Tours in Kuala Lumpur and worldwide,” he told Berita Harian.
