We have three months to find Dollah’s replacement – FAM

Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) have officially started the hunt for a new national team head coach, following the departure of Dollah Salleh.

FAM has until December to announce the candidate for a position that is currently held by interim coach Ong Kim Swee.

Deputy President of FAM, Datuk Mokhtar Ahmad said the job opening will also be advertised and FAM is open to accepting applications from both foreign and local coaches.

“We have certain criteria for the sort of head coach we’re looking for. We want someone who has both the ability as well as a high level of professionalism.

“Based on that, we will decide the salary package, if the candidate happens to fit our criteria. For the time being though, Datuk Ong Kim Swee will be charge of the national team,” he told Utusan Malaysia.

Several head coaches have been linked with the job, including former JDT boss Bojan Hodak as well as ex-Premier League star, George Boateng.
