Wen Yan breaks national record in Men’s 10m Air Pistol

National shooter Choo Wen Yan has broke the national record of Men’s 10m Air Pistol Individual event in the third day of National Shooting Championships at Subang, on Saturday.

The 22 year-old Johor born athlete recorded 200.5 points, edging the previous record held by teammate Eddy Chew in 2013 by 0.1 point difference.

Another Johor-born, Ifwat Abqari Mohamad Isa shot 200.4 points to equal the national record and take silver, while Chew took bronze with 177.5 points.

Wen Yan, Ifwat and Chew then combined as the Johor side won the team gold medal after shooting 1, 708 points, coming out on top of second placed Selangor and third place Perak.
