Terengganu terminate Paulo Rangel’s contract by mutual consent

Football Association of Terengganu (PBSNT) has confirmed that Paulo Rangel’s contract has been terminated by mutual agreement today.

Secretary General of PBSNT, Arpin Draman said negotiations between the management, Rangel and his agent went smoothly and they agreed to end the contract one year earlier.

He also added that Rangel is now a free agent and will be available to sign with a new club next year.

“From the meeting with Rangel as well as his agent this morning, we have agreed to end the contract by mutual agreement.

“Rangel wants us to buy him flight ticket back to Brazil on November 5 and we have agreed to do so.

“He is now free to find a new club and we now have time to find an adequate replacement for next season,” he told Berita Harian today.

The former Perak and Selangor striker joined Terengganu in November 2014, signing a two-year contract which was supposed to last until 2016.

Throughout his stint with Terengganu, Rangel scored 8 goals in the Malaysia Super League, 6 goals in FA Cup and 2 goals in Malaysia Cup.
