FAM unveil OKS’ Malaysian squad for ‘Battle of Hebron’

Football Association of Malaysia have released the list of 23 players that have been called up by interim head coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee for Malaysia’s upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Palestine at the Dura Stadium in Hebron.

Having picked up two consecutive wins against Laos and Timor Leste last time out, Ong has opted to retain the core of the squad, though he’s made a couple of changes, involving players who would be unavailable.

Nasir Basharuddin, who is currently nursing an injury, has been replaced by Gary Steven Robbat of Johor DT, while S. Chanturu was called up in place of Safee Sali, who will be serving a one-match suspension.

Malaysia are scheduled to face Palestine on the 12th of November, though the national squad will be departing on the 6th, and will travel through Amman in Jordan, before getting to Hebron.

They will then return to Kuala Lumpur, before facing UAE behind closed doors, at the Shah Alam Stadium, on the 17th of November.
