Nazmizan urges Badrul to stay focused on end goal

Nazmizan Muhamad, the former national sprint king, who bagged two gold medals at the 2003 SEA Games, has challenged Badrul Hisham to end the medal drought at the 2017 SEA Games, which Malaysia will be hosting.

Badrul’s record-breaking 100m event had sent a shockwaves around the nation for the past two weeks. And as far as Nazmizan is concerned, he is not trying to pressure the teen but rather motivate him to stay focused on a specific target.

“I hope that he will stay focus on his aims. It’s not that I want to give him pressure but Badrul needs to remember that he will be sprinting in front of his home nation’s audiences and for sure many will be having high hopes that he will clinch the gold medal in the blue ribbon event,” said Nazmizan as quoted from Harian Metro.

“Don’t let the 100m fall into the hands of others. Don’t let it be another nation’s flag that’s soaring when it’s your own nation that is the host. His success had open the eyes of many that our country has not run out of talent and skill, and that we are able to pick up a challenge. ”

Nazmizan made history when he was crowned Sprint King of South East Asia in 2003.
