BAM on the verge of hiring new men’s singles coach

It has confirmed that the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) is on the verge appointing a new high profile foreign coach to help Hendrawan and Tey Seu Bock train players under the men’s singles team.

Talks about having an additional coach, especially from Indonesia, had been spreading around the national sports scene for a few months but there had not been any practical progress until recently.

Vice President of BAM, Datuk Seri Norza Zakaria, claimed that discussions with the coach is ongoing and that he would probably start in January, should everything be finalized soon.

“For now, I cannot reveal his name because we are still in the negotiating process,” said Norza Zakaria as quoted from Harian Metro.

“However, we predict that everything will be done by January and when the time comes we will officially disclose all details,” he added.
