Piya dead set on hunting for glory

Kelantan FA skipper Badhri Radzi is determined to have the team challenging for honours again after a frustrating season in 2014.

The Red Warriors endured a topsy-turvy time last year, with Steve Darby being replaced by George Boateng halfway through the season. They finished sixth in the season; 13 points behind champions Johor DT.

But the squad has certainly been beefed up this year, and George Boateng has been working with his squad for a considerable amount of time now. Piya believes that the team chemistry is already visible, and that it will only grow as the season progresses.

“Our understanding as a team has definitely improved through all the pre-season trainings and friendly matches,” he told Harian Metro.

“We’ll probably have to push a bit more before the season starts and we certainly have enough time to refine our playing style. I’m really hoping that everyone in the team will be focused throughout the season so we can effectively execute the mission for this year.”

George Boateng’s men will be opening their Super League campaign against ATM on the 7th of February.
