Murray snubbed by Adidas after £750 million deal with Man Utd

British tennis star Andy Murray has been dropped by Adidas as a result of their £750 million deal with Manchester United.

According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devil’s massive deal has taken a toll on Adidas’ ability to keep up, renew or expand any other commitments particularly with Andy Murray, the England cricket team and the Lions rugby squad.

Murray, who secured two Grand Slam finals after his previous £10m deal with Adidas, was due for a renewal contract in December. However, the deal did not come through as Adidas declined his new wage load.

The 2013 Wimbledon champion immediately reacted by joining the bandwagon of American clothing brand Under Armour, where he has signed a contract worth £15 million ($25 million) over the next four years.
