OCM cancels 2015 Malaysian International Marathon

The Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) has decided to put an end to the 2015 Malaysian International Marathon (MIM) saga by cancelling the entire event as a whole.

OCM President Tunku Imran Tuanku Ja’afar revealed that the MIM will no longer be part of OCM’s plans and they will be switching their attention to maximize preparations for other competitions.

“We have already discussed this event in depth and we are going to stop it.” Tunku Imran told Harian Metro.

“We are now choosing to concentrate on the upcoming SEA Games in Singapore, as well as the International Olympic Council session at the end of July.”

Meanwhile, with the OCM Annual General Meeting (AGM) set to be held on the 22nd of August, Tungku Imran suggested that there could be a possibility of MIM being discussed again at that point.
