Goh V Shem: I don’t want to think about our rivalry with Koo-Tan

Goh V Shem once again reiterated his desire, on behalf of his partner Tan Wee Kiong, to not think about the rivalry between them and their seniors Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong and also the battle to achieve a slot in the upcoming Rio Olympics.

V Shem stated that it was much better to focus on their training and also their progress to improve their ranks rather than to get affected by all the tittle-tattle of the topic.

“I don’t want to think about their position because that might produce pressure,” said V Shem as quoted from Sinar Harian.

“What’s important now is that we need to improve our ranks. Even if they surpassed us, I would still fight till the end to gather more points for the Olympics.”

“I will try my best to represent my country for the first time.”

Their triumph in the US Open and Mexico Open boosted their confidence and they were sure of going forward in terms of skills and winning.

“Hopefully we can maintain that performance and level up our game play.”

“The problem now is that we lack consistency and we will try to fix that problem before any championships this year.”
