Pink and Red? – Kelantan FA to have two different home jerseys

Kelantan FA President Tan Sri Annuar Musa has confirmed that the club would be using two different home jerseys, in order to accommodate the requests of their new primary sponsor, Vida Beauty Sdn Bhd.

According to Annuar Musa, FAM has been informed of the move, which will now see them alternate between red and pink on their home soil, while blue and pink would be alternated for their away games.

“We’ve met FMLLP as well as Datuk Seri Afandi Hamzah and we have informed them of our decision. There would be a first kit and second kit anymore. We will wear pink or red at home while our away colour would be blue or pink, depending on requests,” he told Harian Metro.

The club has traditionally worn their red coloured kit at home, which is synonymous with their nickname – The Red Warriors. And last week, Tan Sri Annuar Musa reaffirmed that they would be retaining the colour for this season, with blue being the colour of their away kit.

But Datuk Vida, who spearheads Vida Beauty, publicly slammed the decision, claiming that she only agreed to sponsor the club after it accepted her request of using a pink coloured kit.

The minor backlash forced Annuar Musa and the Kelantan management to recalibrate their decision, and this new announcement seems to be their final decision ahead of the season opener next month.
