VIDEO: Gerrard and Lampard outshine Pirlo in MLS skill test

It’s not everyday you see top players gathered around each other and test their skills!

Top stars of the Major Soccer League (MLS) Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Andrea Pirlo, Robbie Keane and Clint Dempsey were put up for a challenge to test on their accuracy as the league’s most spectacular players.

Sky Sports reporter Geoff Shreeves has called for all five of the men for a game of dead ball to see just how good they are based on their accuracy. A target, consisting of a box was set up on top of a frame on the table and the players were given three chances to complete the challenge.

First one up was Italian professional and current New York F.C midfielder Andrea Pirlo as he is known for his title of ‘free-kick specialist’. The 36 year-old succeeded in his third attempt.

Next was former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard (LA Galaxy) and New York F.C’s Frank Lampard. Surprisingly, the two former Premier League wonders were able to complete the task in their first attempt, knocking out Pirlo’s title.

Irishman Robbie Keane (LA Galaxy) and America’s very own Clint Dempsey (Seattle Sounders) however, struggled to find their balance as both players could not aim the target and ended up giving Shreeves a laugh.
