Man of the Match: Kedah 1-0 Terengganu

Kedah impressed in their second M-League game of the season after beating Terengganu 1-0 to collect three valuable points.

The household names of Baddrol Bakhtiar, Carlos Eduardo, Sandro, Gustavo Lopez and Joseph Kalang Tie gave their all for their teams, but there was only player who certainly dazzled the most, and his name is Liridon Krasniqi.

The 24 year-old Kosovan played a vital part in clinching the Premier League title for Kedah last season as well as taking them to the Malaysia Cup final. He was signed from Turkish club Ankaraspor last season and was involved in 14 goals (5 goals, 9 assists) in 14 appearances in the Premier League.

The 6-foot-2 player was impeccable in central midfield as he was everywhere on the pitch. He was at his most confidence as he managed to link up plays several times. His exquisite first touch and impressive long-range vision got the better of the Terengganu players throughout the entire match.

Liridon also performed a few stepovers, which got the crowd off their feet. He attempted a shot from the halfway line, but it was just a metre away from Sharbinee Allawee’s goal.

Despite losing the first game to Felda United, Kedah will use this win as a stepping stone to further their cause in the MSL. Liridon Krasniqi and his teammates will definitely be up to the task when they travel to Ipoh for their next game to take on Perak.
