England NT’s M&S Euro 2016 suits unveiled

England have revealed their official suit for the 2016 European Championships, with a couple of surprising names modelling the sharp and classy look, courtesy of Marks & Spencer.

Ryan Bertrand, Kieran Giggs, Jonjo Shelvey are more of the surprise choices, while Tottenham youngster Dele Alli could play a vital role in England’s Euro 2016 bid.

Manchester United and England skipper Wayne Rooney is notable absentee from the photos, but is almost certain to make the 23-man squad that will travel to France in June.

The Three Lions have collaborated with the British multinational retailer once more, with their partnership resulting in a navy three-piece suit paired with light blue shirts. A navy, red and white striped tie and black Derby shoes are an integral part of the look. Marks & Spencer added the final touches to the suit by featuring an embroidered England Three Lions crest on the breast pocket.

“We are delighted to continue our partnership with M&S into a ninth successive year and ahead of another major tournament,” according to The Football Association (FA) Commercial Director, Stuart Turner, as quoted by The Modern Game.

“The FA’s relationship with M&S continues to go from strength-to-strength and we are really pleased with the England team’s official suit for Euro 2016. Once again, the in-house design team at M&S has shown excellent attention to detail and the England squad will be heading to France in a suit of the highest quality,” he added.

According to the BBC, the wool comes from Australia. It then goes to China for processing, Italy to be dyed and Romania or Poland to be spun. Finally, it comes to Yorkshire to be woven into cloth then shipped to Cambodia to be made into suits.

“It’s 100 per cent British cloth”, M&S said as reported by Metro.

England is set to face world champions Germany in Berlin and Holland at the Wembley Stadium in warm-up fixtures at the end of March. They are then set to play three friendlies at the end of the season before flying to France.

England will begin their Euro 2016 campaign in Group B against Russia on June 11, before facing Wales and Slovakia in the remaining group stage matches.
