FAM reject Tengku Abdullah’s resignation appeal

Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah’s appeal to step down as the President of the Football Association of Malaysian (FAM) has been rejected by the Executive Committee (Exco) of FAM.

A unanimous decision was reached during the 7th Exco meeting for the 2014-2018 term, which was chaired by its deputy, Datuk Seri Afandi Hamzah.

According to Afandi, the decision to reject Tengku Abdullah’s resignation was premised on the fact that the governing body is still in need of his services.

The final decision will be informed to Tenkgu Abdullah as soon as possible, he added.

More to come…
