Moto2: Hafizh Syahrin pulls off stunning performance to finish 4th in Doha

Malaysian Moto2 rider, Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah got the new season off to a strong start after finishing 4th at the Qatar Grand Prix last night.

His 4th place finish caught plenty of attention, considering that he started the race from 16th spot, battling his way through plenty of other riders to finish just one spot away from the podium.

This led to Petronas Motosports expressing their satisfaction on Facebook, claiming that Hafizh’s performance had made everyone proud on the night!

WHAT DO WE THINK?

Hafizh has been knocking on the doors of Moto2 frontrunners for quite some time now, so it’s great to see him pull off an outstanding race last night. More importantly though, this could be the year for Hafizh to finally stake a strong claim to compete in the MotoGP in future. He has been improving his final standings for the past 3 years – (2013: 29th, 2014: 19th, 2015: 16th). His excellent start to the season will only give him the necessary confidence to statistically improve in 2016.
