KAFA terminate contracts of Dramane Traore and Jonatan Lucca

The Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) have officially terminated the contracts of Dramane Traore and Jonatan Lucca after failing to make a big impact this season.

The announcement was made by KAFA president Tan Sri Annuar Musa earlier today after head coach Velizar Popov does not have plans for the duo in the second half of the season.

“I completely agree with the decision and the negotiations with both players are currently taking place to settle the issue once and for all,” he said as quoted by Utusan Malaysia.

The agent of Dramane Traore, Mohd Alif Azilan, said that the termination of contract will officially be enforced on June 24 after both parties had agreed to a mutual date.

“I can confirm that my agent (Dramane Traore) has had his contract terminated by KAFA but he still is in Kota Bharu to settle a few issues before opening a new chapter in his life.

“Dramane Traore has not decided his future but he cannot join a Malaysia Super League (MSL) team because of the rule imposed by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).”

The Malian forward joined the Pamoga Qu Puteh The Red Warriors (PQPTRW) squad this season after winning the Golden Boot for scoring 20 goals with PDRM last season. The 33 year-old has only managed to score three goals in twelve appearances all season long.
