“Respect Azrif’s contract with Selangor” – Sathia tells JDT

The Football Coaches Association of Malaysia (FCAM) hopes that the transfer issues involving Selangor’s Azrif Nasrulhaq is handled properly by Johor Darul Ta’azim (JDT) and dealt with by the Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP).

FCAM president B. Sathianathan said that Azrif wants to end his contract and join the Southern Tigers after a poor season with The Red Giants.

“What I know is that if any teams want to sign players from other teams, they must discuss terms with the specific association and not the players,” he said as quoted by Harian Metro.

“If the player is under a contract, the other team must respect the contract as well as the other team. However, if the team is still adamant on signing the player, buy out his clause.

“That is how it is done in Europe because players will not be able to transfer so easily.”

Johor Darul Ta’azim have expressed their interest in acquiring the services of Azrif, and the player himself is determined to leave. However, it remains to be seen if an offer is made when the transfer window opens.
