Young Malaysians to be handed training stints in Argentina

Argentina will play a big role in the development of young players in Malaysia in the future.

The ambassador of Argentina to Malaysia, Manuel Balaguer Salas, began his duties in the country three months ago and believes that football can be one of the many factors that can strengthen the bilateral ties between his country and Malaysia in the many years to come.

“Football is extremely loved in Malaysia, which is also the case back in Argentina. I am planning to send some players from here to Argentina or vice versa into training programs in order to further expose them to international football,” he said as quoted by Berita Harian.

“These plans are limited to the players, coaches and staff of the football team.

Argentina is one of the greatest football countries and have won the World Cup twice and were runners-up thrice, with the likes of Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi becoming world-class players. They are currently ranked as the best team in the FIFA world rankings list.
