VIDEO: Eerie footage from inside Chapecoense’s plane moments before it crashed

A plane carrying approximately 85 people, including players of Brazilian side Chapecoense crashed in Medellin, Colombia earlier today, leaving dozens feared dead.

But just moments before the fatal incident happened, two Chapecoense players released a footage on their instagram profile, as they proclaimed their excitement at heading to Colombia for the Copa Sudamerica final.

Alan Ruschel and Danilo Padilha looked absolutely relaxed in the video, before the former said: “In not long, we’ll be arriving in Colombia. We’re coming Colombia.”

But not too long after that, the plane crashed due to electrical problems. The pilot apparently opened a fuel door to release fuel in order to prevent a huge explosion as soon as it crashed.

Either way, the plane was split into two and approximately 75 people have been proclaimed dead, according to reports. That said, the two players in the video have reportedly survived the crash.
