Johor DT confirm signing of Samuel Caceres

Johor Darul Ta’zim has announced the signing of Paraguayan Samuel Caceres for JDT II to fill up their import quota for the 2017 season.

The news was confirmed by Alistair Edwards, Johor Darul Ta’zim FC Sports Director on JDT’s Facebook page.

Caceres is a 27 year-old centre back from Itacurubi de Cordillera, Paraguay. He used to play for clubs like Club Atlético Independiente de Avellaneda, Club Atletico Nueva Chicago (Argentina), New York Cosmos (USA).

Apart from Caceres, JDT has also signed three other Argentine players to enhance the squad for the new season; Brian Ferreira, Gonzalo Cabrerra, and former PKNS player, Gabriel Guerra.

Gabriel Guerra will resume his training with JDT II, and we’re excited at the prospect of Guerra and Ceceres playing together.

JDT is currently gearing their Charity Cup match on the 20th of January against Kedah FA, as well as a few pre-season friendlies in Thailand.
