“Beg, borrow, or steal” – Melaka gunning for at least one point against Kelantan

Melaka United will be taking on east coast club Kelantan FA tomorrow at the Stadium Sultan Mohammad IV Kota Bharu tomorrow.

Since Melaka just got promoted to the Super League, every game will be a crucial one.

Last season, Melaka United finished op top of the Premier League with 50 points after completing 22 games. This season, armed with the likes of Malaysia captain Amri Yahyah and award-winning top scorer Ilija Spasojevic, Melaka is gunning up to annihilate their opponents.

The early win is also necessary to instil confidence in the players and to secure their place in the upper tier of the table.

“We need the win against The Red Warriors. It will be an important and much needed win. Even if we don’t win, I expect at least a draw from Eric William’s boys so we can bring back that one point.” said Melaka United’s President Datuk Seri Ir. Idris Haron.

At this point, it is beg, borrow or steal for Melaka United. If they lose this game, they risk creating a negative momentum for their impending fixtures.

“We have to start winning from the start. Don’t wait for the second game or third game to pick up and bounce back. We  set a target and we go for it. We have to win from the first game itself.” he asserted.

“I hope all the preseason matches and other matches against the premier league teams have prepared us for this moment. I hope it has matured the team and their playing style.”

Looks like it’s do or die for Melaka tomorrow, so all the best!
