Confirmed: MSL clash between Kelantan and Johor DT has been postponed

Kelantan’s match at home against Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) this Saturday will be postponed due to JDT’s AFC Champions League (ACL) commitments.

FMLLP as well as Kelantan FA have confirmed that match will be moved to a later date as JDT is preparing for their ACL Play-off match against Japan’s Gamba Osaka next Tuesday.

According to the KAFA Secretary, Datuk Ismail Md Noor, KAFA has agreed to the Football Association of Malaysia’s (FAM) decision as JDT will only have a short time to prepare for their ACL match should they play against The Red Warriors on Saturday.

“This is the second time a match involving Kelantan has been postponed in the Super League, but FAM’s decision is based on what is best for both teams,”

“We hope with this announcement, fans will keep on supporting The Red Warriors despite being disappointed about all this,” Ismail told Berita Harian.

Kelantan already had their initial first match of their Super League against Melaka postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

That match will be held on 21 February as Kelantan will next focus on Matchday 4 where they will meet FELDA United away in the meantime.

JDT defeated Bangkok United 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw to earn a match against Gamba Osaka at the Suita City Stadium.
