National shuttler Zulfadli Zulkiffli went up against two-time Olympic champion Lin Dan at the 2017 Yonex All England championship in Birmingham.
Zulfadli, whose current world ranking in 33, boldly took on the challenge in the Round 1 of All England on Wednesday. However, the world 7 inevitably proved to be daunting opponent, given his ridiculous skills and impressive track record.
In the fixture, Zulfadli was defeated 11-21, 12-21 by Lin Dan. But he did not go down easy, Zulfadli made sure Lin Dan knew that this 24-year old kid was going to put up the fight of his life before admitting defeat.
During a very intense match, Zulfadli sent Lin Dan diving to reach for the shuttle, and in the process, the racket either slipped from his hand, or was thrown in frustration — and was seen flying across the court, towards a cameraman!
