VIDEO: FAM unveils exclusive short film “The President” featuring TMJ

Football Association of Malaysia has just unveiled a dramatic short film on their official Facebook page. The short film chronicles Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim’s journey leading up to the day he was sworn in as FAM’s new president.

The short film, entitled “The President” and sprinkled with hashtags like #HarimauMalaysia
#TheRealHarimauMalaya#RevolusiFAM#EraBaru, starts with events on the 22nd of March, Wednesday evening.

We see the Crown Prince heading for training at Padang Polo, Istana Pasir Pelangi. He briefly complains about how difficult it is for him to lose weight before running towards the pitch for training.

Later that night, we see TMJ at the gym, where he listens to his “lagu sebelum election”, and then proceeds to some kick boxing training. TMJ then starts getting anxious, like any of us do before the outcome of a major event.

“I think he’s gonna win. I have a feeling he’s gonna win.” TMJ says, pacing about. He then settles into a chair and continues, “If I win, they have to wait. I know what I’m gonna do already, so no rush.” he confesses.

The short film continues on to the next day where the Crown Prince makes his way to the Istana Besar Johor Bahru to celebrate the King, his father’s birthday.

After the celebrations, TMJ carries on with his royal duties for the rest of the day, and at some point he hears about Tan Sri Annuar Musa withdrawing from the elections and thus automatically making him the new FAM president.

The next day, he pays his respect at the Makam Diraja Mahmoodiah in the morning, and heads over to the stadium in the evening. At the stadium, he is seen having a laugh with his head coach, technical director, and other officials.

The next day is the 25th of March; the day of the FAM elections, and the day TMJ sports his Godfather-esque look and arrives at Hilton Kuala Lumpur to be sworn in as FAM’s new president.

The new FAM president makes his debut speech and takes on his new position in style.

The short film on FAM’s Facebook page has been watched over 7000 times, with mostly positive feedback in the comments section.

It’s a new era indeed, and we can’t wait to see how this revamps the local football scene!

Watch the short film here, and let us know what you think about it!
